Active Wildlife

Not much weekend riding, we are ripping out our kitchen and living room to remodel so all free time is going towards this project. I haven't yet figured out how to survive without a kitchen. I guess I will be washing dishes in the bathroom sink and cooking on the BBQ grill and microwave. Anticipating living this way for 2 fun filled months. oh yeah...
I continue to ride to work, it's really nice to have a smooth, clean path to ride on. And it continues to be cold and rainy. I'm wet just as often as dry and still continue to wear my helmet liner and wool jersey, full leggings, jacket and gloves.

My daugher and her husband went fishing down towards Kenai and were joined by this little grizzly bear. It is pretty small, makes me wonder if it is big enough to survive the winter on it's own.

Also, this is a great video of baby twin moose playing in a sprinkler

House projects are my least favorite thing to do. Like to leave it to the professionals.
What an amazing world it must be up there surrounded by that wildlife. Not sure I would feel too comfortable with a baby black bear swimming nearby though.
That is a great video.

I kind of feel that way about big citys with millions of people, sort of uneasy. I tend to think of people as potentially more dangerous than wildlife.

I know what you mean on the home project...If I stop posting, then I didn't survive it...send a search party

Hopefully you'll get some non-commute ride time soon. 6 of us are headed to Tsali Friday AM for the weekend. I'm taking a couple of kegs of homebrew. I would go now if the wife would let me!

Check out this guys Tsali ride video. (http://www.sirbikesalot.com/entry.php?fid=126) I tripped across it today. Pretty cool. Hmm ... I have an old video camera.

Michelle: Never thought about it that way. In the grand scheme of things, you're probably right.

I am here. It is sooo nice outside. I brought it with me! It doesn't match my mood though...I am so very sad and homesick, but I know it will pass soon!!

I have never heard of the Tsali train. Beautiful!!!

Old Man, brewing in on hold until I get a kitchen back. I have finally convinced someone to send me some of the beers which are not available to me up here, 3 brews from New Belgium and 3 from Boulder Brewing, should be here soon! It's not cheap but I think I will enjoy these beers.

Sorry to hear production of Chain Driven beers is on hold. But glad to hear reinforcements are on the way!
New Belgium Fat Tire is a favorite of mine; enjoy.

You haven't posted in a while... did the kitchen eat you alive?

Michelle said...

Not yet, I'm still alive. I'm having trouble locating things, like my camera, water, ect.

I have some photos to post IF I can find my camera.
